This rustic primitive hotel offers easy access to the Painted Hills, about a 15-minute drive. The rooms have no amenities -- in some cases, not even electricity other than a ceiling light. No air conditioning, no telephone, no television, no microwave. These amenities are located in a lobby/living room and front porch where guests may gather to socialize, work on their laptops (there is free WiFi). Coffee and a muffin are available in the morning.
Very beautiful and rustic, cozy old fashioned atmosphere, but lack of amenities in the room (including a toilet) was rough. The bed was not comfortable. The woman hassled us about my partner's service dog which I found really rude and unnecessary.
Nice hotel, make use to check the accommodation of each room, many fo not have bathrooms in the room.
Wonderful! Very much enjoyed our stay. Beautiful building, great tidy room/bathroom, friendly service, and unlike some on here, I thought the beds were plenty comfortable. There is breakfast, but no fridge, at least not in my room, not that that bothered us. Felt like I was at a friend's home! Would stay again
